Inaugural Scientific Meeting cum Opening Ceremony of the Resuscitation Council of Hong Kong

With the full endorsement of the Health Department, Dr York Chow, recognized that this organization will be the key driver in promoting the Awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), and the use of CPR/AED.

One objective of the Resuscitation Council Hong Kong is to establish a Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) program in HK. This is a significant step in improving the survival rate of SCA victims, an appropriate extension to the "Golden 5-minutes" campaign promoted by the Fire Department a few years ago.

Pacific Medical Systems is the sole distributor Cardiac Science AEDs in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR. Cardiac Science provides both fully-automatic and semi-automatic AED models that cater from layman rescuers and professional paramedics.
