Pacific Medical Systems Ltd, recently added South East Asia to the Sales and Marketing territory for USCOM, was proud to be a sponsor of the 15th International Symposium on Critical Care and Emergency Medicine, in conjunction with the 4th Symposium of Nutri Indonesia. It was held at the Discovery Kartika Hotel in Bali, Indonesia from 14th–16th August, attracting over 400 local and overseas participants.
Pacific Medical Systems Ltd and our newly appointed distribution partner, PT NutriLab Pratama showcased the USCOM, a non-invasive, beat-to-beat, Cardiac Output Monitor at the Meeting.
Based on the proven ultrasound Doppler technology, the USCOM Cardiac Output Monitor is designed to assess the patient’s haemodynamic status and monitor the response to therapy. It measures Stroke Volume beat by beat and provides important left and right heart haemodynamic parameters including Cardiac Output, Cardiac Index, Systemic Vascular Resistance and many more.
One can identify the haemodynamics status, such as Preload, Inotropy and Afterload, quicker, safer, and more accurately, allowing for non-invasive, evidence based, goal directed therapies.
“The USCOM non-invasive haemodynamics monitor takes away the guess work out of day to day applications such as fluid resuscitation. This allows ED and Critical Care physicians to recognize and diagnose critical illnesses early, but also to proactively target resuscitation and therapy to achieve specific hemodynamic values associated with improved survival.”
Pacific Medical Systems Ltd., having recorded a 30% revenue growth in USCOM sales over the same period verses previous year, is happy to expand its existing USCOM North Asia distribution. The addition of South East Asia with its vast population has a strong need for improved monitoring capabilities for the major centers, but more importantly, the many smaller healthcare services spanning the vast geographies where access to more expensive technologies is often limited.
