Pacific Medical Systems Ltd., today announced it had secured formal regulatory approval for the marketing USCOM and MEDISTIM products in Taiwan.

The approval comes in the form of an import license, issued by the Taiwan Department of Health.

Our distribution partner in Taiwan, Anson Health Care Inc, has already secured the first sale of the MEDISTIM VeriQ system and the sales of an USCOM CO Monitor, following regulatory approval. The USCOM monitor has been sold to the largest hospital in Taiwan, the 4,000 bed Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH) in Linkou, near the capital, Taipei and the MEDISTIM system was sold to the Tri-Service Hospital, the largest military healthcare provider in Taiwan.

With a population of almost 23 million, and one of the world’s strongest economies, Taiwan represents an important market for USCOM and MEDISTIM in North Asia.
