Pacific Medical Systems sponsored and participated in the
4th biannual Echo Hong Kong conference, on November 22-23,
2003. Over 350 healthcare professionals and a distinguished
guest faculty attended as well as world-renowned cardiologists
from leading American, European and Australian healthcare
institutions.
Echo Hong Kong was organized by the Ruttonjee & Tang Shiu
Kin Hospitals in co-operation with Mayo Clinic, USA; Tufts
University – New England Medical Center, USA; University
of Queensland, Australia; University of Vienna, Austria. The
conference is dedicated to the enhancement of clinical diagnosis
and guidance of treatment for patients with cardiovascular
disease, by keeping the participants abreast of the latest
knowledge and technologies available.
The theme of the conference was “Life & Clinical
Practice”, which was delivered via interesting life case
studies performed at the Ruttonjee Hospital and projected to
a large screen for the audience at the conference venue, as
well as interactive case studies with the experts via audience
response system.
Pacific Medical Systems exhibited USCOM a Continuous Wave
Doppler based, non-invasive, beat-to-beat Cardiac Output /
Haemodynamic patient monitor. The response from both local
and overseas participants was extremely positive, especially
as a means to replace more invasive and more laborious techniques.
