Pacific Medical Systems Presents GE’s Vivid-I and Vivid-e portable echo systems at the 6th Echo Hong Kong

 
 
Pacific Medical Systems Ltd continued to be a proud sponsor for the 6th Echo Hong Kong, held at the Ruttonjee Tang Siu Kin Hospital and Sheraton Hotel from 22 - 25th November 2007. Being the 10th year since the first Echo Hong Kong was held, Mr. Shane Solomon, the Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority paid a special tribute to Dr. Y.K. Lau and the Organising Committee for their continued dedication for providing such a high quality Seminar over the past decade.
 

Over 350 local and overseas participants were present for this interactive 4-day event. The 2 days of Hands-on practical session at Ruttonjee Tang Siu Kin Hospital and 2 days of lectures by leading Cardiologists from the USA, Australia and Europe were well attended.
 
Pacific Medical Systems Ltd showcased GE’s latest range of portable, high end cardiovascular ultrasound systems. Incorporated in a compact design, it is equipped with the high end features that are available on the Company’s premium platform. This is ideal for use in environment where size and portability matters. The performance of the Vivid-i was very well received during the workshop session. With its premium performance, it has the potential to replace many of the large and bulky ultrasounds systems in the clinical arena.  Echo Rooms, CCU’s, ICU’s and operating room environments where space is limited, the Vivid-i has already proven to have a particularly strong appeal. Private Cardiology Clinics have also shown great interest in the Vivid-i’s ability to perform a high quality echocardiogram, digital reporting and storage for patient follow-up.
 
The Vivid-e, a more economical model, was also well received.
 
Also on display was the Cardiac Science AEDs, well known for its easy-to-use design and reliability worldwide. There are over 100 installations in HK including various public facilities, private clubhouses, offices, clinics, schools and private homes.
