Pacific Medical Systems (PMS) was informed of a confirmed case of novel coronavirus infection on 9th February 2020 and we immediately made report to the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) that evening. The confirmed case is a PMS employee and he was infected at a private gathering. Between that and his hospitalization on 8th February, he was in the office on 3rd and 4th February only, wearing mask and having no symptoms. He did not visit any Hospitals for work related matters, but only visited the out-patient clinic of St. Paul’s Hospital on 6th February for consultation.

We have been working closely with CHP. Four other colleagues with close contact to the confirmed case during the said period were invited by CHP to be isolated. The other employees who had limited contact with the confirmed case will exercise self-quarantine at home and follow the CHP guidelines with wearing masks, frequent hand washing, temperature check and self-monitoring of health status.

Pacific Medical Systems Ltd (PMS) is taking suitable precautionary measures to safeguard the health and safety of our employees and customers as follows:

(I) Special arrangements re office opening hours
Effective from 10th February 2020 (Mon), our office will be temporarily closed until 25th February 2020 (Tue). We will postpone all appointments for customer visits, schedules for delivery and repairs, unless there is urgent or special request by the customer. For urgent or special requests, customers can reach us on 2108-4005. If non-quarantine staff shall attend work engagement, they have to wear mask and wash hands frequently. While our colleagues are working from home, we will follow the CHP guidelines to monitor our health status and good hygiene practice.

(II) Office disinfection measure
We have taken enhanced environmental disinfection measures in accordance with CHP guidelines. We have employed a medical grade, automatic airborne disinfection system (boosted Hydrogen Peroxide aerosol process) to thoroughly clean the office interior on 9th February, while Office Management has thoroughly disinfected the exterior and lift lobby area of the floor where PMS is located, with 1:49 diluted bleach.

(III) Infection control measures
We have reminded our employees to follow the CHP guidelines to wear mask, wash hands frequently, avoid crowded areas during the quarantine period.

We apologize for the inconvenient caused during our temporary office closure in these two weeks. Our office will resume full operation on 25th February 2020. Thank you for your understanding.

Pacific Medical Systems(PMS) 於2020 年2 月9 日接獲通知，得悉一宗新型冠狀病毒確診個案，並於當天傍晚立即上報衛生防護中心。確診人士為本公司員工，於一次私人聚會中受感染。在感染至2 月8 日入院期間，該名員工僅於2 月3 日至4 日曾回辦公室，有戴上口罩，當時並無任何感染徵狀。他並沒有因公事而到訪過任何醫院，惟2 月6 日曾到聖保祿醫院門診部求醫。

我們一直與衛生防護中心保持緊密聯繫。與確診員工上班期間有密切接觸的4 位同事，已依照衛生防護中心指示接受隔離。其他與確診員工有限度接觸的僱員，將會在家辦公自我隔離，並依照衛生防護中心指引戴上口罩、經常洗手、檢查體溫及自行監測健康狀況。

為保障員工與顧客的健康和安全，本公司正採取以下預防措施：

甲、有關Pacific Medical Services (PMS) 辦公室開放時間的特別安排

自2020 年2 月10 日(星期一)起，辦公室會暫時關閉至2020 年2 月25 日(星期二)。除緊急或特別要求，所有客戶造訪、送遞、以及維修服務的預定時間將會延期。如客戶有任何緊急或特別要求，請致電2108-4005 聯絡我們。如在家辦公的員工需要出外上班，須依照衛生防護中心指引，戴上口罩，經常洗手，時刻留意個人健康狀況、保持良好衛生習慣。

乙、有關辦公室消毒措施

我們已依據衛生防護中心指引，於2 月9 日採用了醫療級別的自動氣體消毒系統（加強過氧化氫噴霧器處理過程boosted Hydrogen Peroxide aerosol process），徹底清潔辦公室内部。與此同時，大廈管理處已用1 比49 稀釋漂白水為辦公室外部及所在樓層的升降機大堂徹底消毒。

丙、有關感染控制措施

我們已提醒員工依照衛生防護中心指引戴上口罩，經常洗手，並於自我隔離期間避免到人多擠逼的地方。

辦公室將會暫時關閉兩星期，並將於2 月25 日恢復正常服務。不便之處，敬希諒鑒。
