Pacific Medical Systems Supports Intraoperative Quality Control and Surgical Precision at HBTKVI 2026

Pacific Medical Systems (PMS) was proud to support the 17th Annual Scientific Meeting of HBTKVI (Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery) in Indonesia, continuing its mission to elevate cardiac surgical standards and advance evidence-based intraoperative verification across the Asia-Pacific region.

A major highlight of the congress was an impactful presentation delivered by Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Prof. Guohao Chang from the National University Health System (NUHS), Singapore, titled "Empowering Precision in CABG: TTFM + Imaging for Better Decisions & Outcomes".

During his lecture, Prof. Chang made a compelling case for combining Transit Time Flow Measurement (TTFM) and High-Frequency Ultrasound (HFUS) imaging in Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) procedures. Emphasizing the relentless pursuit of better evidence, superior grafts, and optimized patient outcomes, he noted: "Our work must not only look right—it must be shown to be right." He closed his address with an inspiring reminder to the surgical community: "The graft is our promise to the patient. Verification is how we honor that promise."

Complementing the academic sessions, PMS’s local Indonesian distributor, MHJ, maintained a high-profile presence on the exhibition floor. Their dedicated booth generated significant interest from attending cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons who gathered to learn more about Medistim's gold-standard intraoperative flow measurement and imaging technologies.

PMS extends its sincere gratitude to Prof. Chang for his inspiring presentation and to our partners at MHJ for their exceptional work on the ground. Pacific Medical Systems remains committed to collaborating with regional clinicians and partners to drive the adoption of evidence-based surgical verification tools that enhance patient safety and clinical standards.
